Autonomous drinking water installations

We are working with the largest drinking water companies in the Netherlands to establish sustainable water ecosystems to ensure an ample supply of top-quality water for everyone. Customers are leveraging Alewijnse's expertise in electrical installations and automation at their drinking water locations.

Our clients choose Alewijnse due to our successful, decades-long collaboration, spanning from small service tasks to large multidisciplinary projects. Notable examples are the recent construction of the Vitens Boerhaar, Diepenveen and Vechterweerd production sites, where Alewijnse executed the complete electrical and control installations.

For the new extraction wells in Boerhaar, Alewijnse was responsible for the complete installation of four new and two renovated wells. The Diepenveen production site was undergoing thorough renovation and expansion, including incorporating a new purification step in the aeration building that will reduce chemical consumption - a sustainable solution aligned with the philosophy of Every Drop Sustainable.

Other projects are for Oasen, the drinking water company that supplies the Groene Hart region in the Netherlands. GMB and Alewijnse collaborated closely at the De Laak purification plant in Lexmond and the De Steeg plant in Langerak to upgrade the existing hydrogen chloride (HCl) installations for dosing strip water required for the production of lime milk. All HCl dosages after the reactors were successfully replaced with CO₂ dosages.
