The agreement covers the servicing of the electrical and automation systems on board the Jan De Nul dredging and offshore fleet.

Alewijnse will be one of the preferred suppliers to maintain their navigation, communication and automation solutions, along with associated electrical services and materials during the period of the agreement.

With its advanced technical solutions, Alewijnse will contribute to the commitment to high quality and low risk that characterises Jan De Nul projects. Maximum environmental, safety, productivity and reliability benefits are key features of Alewijnse’s in-house products and proven dredging solutions (AlViVi, ADLS & ASTS), along with robust hardware and advanced software. Further economies are delivered by the application of the company’s in-house engineering and the production of consoles and cabinets in the Netherlands, Romania and Vietnam.

Alewijnse awarded long term service contract for entire Jan De Nul fleet

Strong relationship with Jan De Nul Group

Alewijnse closed the contract for this new service level agreement due to its extensive knowledge and experience combined with the existing long and strong relationship with the Jan De Nul Group. The past delivery of similar systems to several new-build trailing suction hopper dredgers (TSHDs) and offshore vessels for the Jan De Nul fleet enabled Alewijnse to gain extensive in-field experience of working with the company and to become familiarized with Jan De Nul’s design philosophy and project execution protocols.

Pieter Vosselman, Account Manager at Alewijnse, is very pleased with the assignment: “We are proud to have been awarded this service contract and it confirms the good cooperation between Jan De Nul Group and Alewijnse,” he says. “It once again demonstrates the wide range of skills and capabilities that we can bring to corrective maintenance and the sizeable contribution that we can make to the success of our customers. Over the next years we will demonstrate that we have what it takes to execute this new service level agreement to the highest standards. And looking ahead we see an exciting future with the Jan De Nul Group."

With this strategic service partnership in place we aim to optimise our supply chain, thereby further improving our operations and reducing the cost of managing our fleet.
