NPR Purchaser

What are you going to do ?

As an NPR Purchaser, you will be responsible for translating our business needs into optimal procured services and goods. For your categories, you ensure that all procurement processes run smoothly, from tender processes and contract management to maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. You identify potential savings and come up with well-considered proposals that you can substantiate practically.
Independently, you will work together with colleagues within Purchasing, Fleet Management, IT and the project organisation.
What you will do:

• Setting up tenders, negotiating attractive terms, securing optimal conditions and concluding contracts with suppliers, locally and internationally. You do this for various products and services, such as hotels, office furnishing, leasing companies and company clothing;
• Evaluating supplier performance and ensuring a healthy balance between quality, reliability and costs;
• Managing purchasing contracts and ensuring compliance with company guidelines;
• Introducing new suppliers and connecting them to the business;
• Optimising the supplier base and reducing total cost of ownership.

Who are you ?

You are well organised and flexible in a dynamic working environment. You also have a sense of humour and feel at home in an informal but ambitious culture. Proactive as you are, you know how to translate vision into plans and results. You see and seize opportunities.

What you need:

• Bachelor's level; completed education in, for instance, Commercial Economics, possibly supplemented by NEVI 1;
• Several years of relevant work experience as a Buyer or Category Manager;
• Knowledge of purchasing processes, tenders and contract management;
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Dutch and English.
